What we do

The Genomics and Transcriptomics platform is a research support laboratory focused on providing advice, offering services in techniques related to genomics or transcriptomics and making specific equipment available to internal research staff and the scientific community.

Services

The GT Platform offers the following services:

  • Quantification and quality control of nucleic acid samples (Qubit 3.0, Nanodrop 2000 and Bioanalyzer 2100).
  • Chromium Single Cell Analysis: Transcriptomic / epigenomic / proteomic analysis at  single cell level from fresh, frozen or fixed samples. Available techniques: Single-Cell Gene Expression (3′, 5′, Flex), Single Cell Immune Profiling, Single Cell ATAC, Single Cell Multiome (ATAC+GEx).
  • Sample processing for Microarray studies (Affymetrix) (Gene expression, miRNA profiles, Cytogenetics, GWAS)
  • Real-time PCR (Gene expression,  miRNA detection, allelic discrimination, copy number variation (CNV), absolute quantification….).
  • Digital PCR: Copy Number Variation, detection of targets (RNA, DNA) at very low concentration (liquid biopsy, very low gene expression,…), library quantification… analysis of samples with high level of inhibitors (vs qPCR),…
  • Next-Generation Sequencing: library preparation and exome sequencing, target RNA or DNA sequencing, small RNA sequencing, de novo sequencing, ChiP-Seq, 16S gene sequencing,  metagenomics… Sequencing is performed externally.
  • Sanger Sequencing: DNA sequencing, mutation and polymorphism analysis, DNA methylation studies, microorganism identification, gene editing confirmation (CRISPR, TALEN, …), etc.
  • Fragment analysis: cell line authentication, copy number variation study (MLPA), loss of heterozygosity (LOH), genotyping study, microsatellite instability, repetitive DNA expansion studies…
  • Omics data analysis.

Training

Some of the equipment used to carry out these techniques is accessible in self-service format for research staff after completing specific training.

The platform also provides other training courses or seminars on specific techniques or technologies related to genomics.
