Call for a T4A – Junior Senior Technician the he Advanced Therapies Unit. Deadline: 25 June 2026, 15:00 h.

About the Unit / Group

The Sant Pau Research Institute has established the Advanced Therapies Unit to promote research in advanced therapies, increase manufacturing capacity under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, and facilitate the transfer of these therapies to patients.

The creation of this unit is strategic in providing research groups with the resources needed to develop advanced therapy projects, offer specialized services, and provide guidance to both public and private stakeholders. The unit currently operates a Clean Room facility and is involved in several active Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP) projects, including academic clinical trials using CAR-T cells. It also features state-of-the-art facilities for the manufacture of these therapies under high-quality GMP standards, positioning the Institute at the forefront of this field in Europe. The successful candidate will report directly to the Technical Director of the facility.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum qualification required: University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent).
  • Oral and written proficiency in the two official languages of Catalonia or, alternatively, the selected candidate must demonstrate, or commit to acquiring within a maximum period of one year, an adequate command of both official languages.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Advanced proficiency in office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Skills will be valued
  • Knowledge and experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), particularly for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).
  • Training and experience in cleanroom procedures for pharmaceutical manufacturing (personnel and material flows, disinfection procedures, etc.).
  • Training and experience in Quality Management Systems.
  • Analytical skills, teamwork, initiative, organization, and task prioritization abilities.
  • Previous experience in microbiology laboratories.

Functions

  • Environmental microbiological monitoring of classified areas, including sample collection and logistics management.
  • Collection and processing of primary environmental monitoring data from classified areas.
  • Receipt of materials and management of approval/rejection processes according to established procedures.
  • Monitoring material stocks in warehouses and classified areas, including logistics management.
  • Support in the operational management required to ensure compliance with maintenance, calibration, qualification, and equipment repair plans.
  • Disinfection of manufacturing equipment.
  • Order tracking and management of delivery notes.
  • Duties related to the GMP Quality Management System, including drafting procedures, validation protocols, management of non-conformities, and related documentation.

Offered

  • Permanent contract.
  • Annual working schedule of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours per week).
  • Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
