The Institute

The Sant Pau Research Institute (IR Sant Pau), founded in 1992, is a CERCA centre, accredited as a Health Research Institute by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), and one of the leading biomedical research institutes in Catalonia.

Linked to Sant Pau Hospital, it promotes excellence in biomedical research and innovation aimed at advancing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, with the mission of improving people's health and quality of life and the vision of becoming an international benchmark in translational biomedical research.
