About the Unit / Group
RESEARCH INTERESTS
- Clinical trials and translational research (in collaboration with the Translational Medicine Research Group for Inflammatory Diseases) on inflammatory-mediated dermatoses, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria, vitiligo, and alopecia areata.
- Epidemiology, genetics, AI-assisted imaging, and treatment of different types of skin cancer and their precursors (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and actinic keratosis).
- Epidemiological research on cutaneous lymphoma. MAIN RESEARCH LINES

- Translating scientific findings into clinical practice.

Essential requirements
- Minimum required qualification: Higher Education degree (University Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent.
- Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia or, failing this, the selected candidate must demonstrate or commit to acquiring an adequate level in both official languages within a period not exceeding one year.
- Intermediate level of English.
- Intermediate level of office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Skills will be valued
- Proven experience in the management of patients with Hidradenitis Suppurativa.
- Previous experience as an investigator or sub-investigator in clinical trials, particularly in Dermatology.
- Knowledge and experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable clinical trial regulations.
- Experience in dermatological procedures, including skin biopsies, infiltrations/injections, and performing and interpreting skin ultrasound examinations.
- Experience in the collection and management of clinical data using electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) and research registries.
- Participation in competitive research projects and/or collaborations with the pharmaceutical industry.
- Scientific output demonstrated through publications, conference presentations, and participation in science communication activities.
- High level of scientific English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with sponsors, CROs, and clinical trial monitors.
Functions
- Conduct visits and examinations of participants enrolled in public and private clinical trial projects, including randomized and observational studies.
- Follow up clinical trial participants and detect and manage potential adverse events.
- Record lesions in study documentation.
- Enter data into electronic registries.
- Perform digital imaging, biopsies, infiltrations/injections, ultrasounds, and other complementary procedures included in clinical trial protocols.
- Collaborate and liaise with CROs and medical monitors.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific articles and dissemination of investigator-sponsored trial results through posters, conference presentations, and scientific publications.
Offered
- Permanent contract linked to the research line “Investigational Drugs in Patients with Moderate-to-Severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa.”
- Part-time position: 20 hours per week.
- Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
- Research Group: Dermatology, Hidradenitis Suppurativa.
