Call for a T2 – Research Technician the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Research Group. Deadline: June 17, 2026, 3:00 pm
About the Group
The main research lines of the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Research Group are:
- Diabetic complications: atherosclerosis and microvascular disease.
- Diabetes epidemiology: primary care and large database research.
- Endocrine diseases and pregnancy.
- Thyroid nodular disease and thyroid cancer.
- Diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors.
Essential requirements
- Minimum required qualification: Higher Education Degree (University Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent.
- Oral and written proficiency in the two official languages of Catalonia or, alternatively, the selected candidate must demonstrate or commit to acquiring adequate proficiency in both official languages within a maximum period of one year.
- Intermediate level of English.
- Intermediate level of office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Skills will be valued
- Experience conducting field research studies, observational studies, and clinical trials.
- Clinical experience in nutrition, preferably managing patients with diabetes and other metabolic diseases.
- Knowledge of applied clinical nutrition.
- Availability for on-site work during working hours.
Functions
- Recruitment of study candidates and explanation of study objectives, procedures, risks, and benefits.
- Participant enrolment, including eligibility verification, informed consent procedures, collection of clinical variables, questionnaires, and adverse events.
- Participant follow-up, including collection of clinical and laboratory data and reporting of incidents and adverse events.
- Coordination among services involved in study procedures, participant visits, monitoring visits, and audits.
- Maintenance of study documentation, source documents, study files, and electronic data capture systems
Offered
- Permanent contract linked to the project 4V-MC-JAJK, “A Phase 3, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Study of Baricitinib to Preserve Beta Cell Function in Participants Newly Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Aged ≥1 to <36 Years (BARICADE-PRESERVE)”.
- Annual working schedule of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
- Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
- Research Group: Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition.
