About the Unit / Group

The Sant Pau Memory Unit is a leading research group within the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital Research Institute Foundation and the hospital's Neurology Department. The team, comprising experts such as neurologists, neuropsychologists, research nurses, biologists, engineers, and other specialists, focuses on translational research. Over the past four years, the team has published over 150 articles in high-impact journals, accumulating more than 3,500 citations. The team is also involved in over 25 funded projects and several international collaborations and is dedicated to developing new treatments for Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases, actively participating in numerous clinical trials.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum qualification required: Higher Level Professional Studies (Higher Level Training Cycle / FPII) or equivalent
  • Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia or, failing that, the successful candidate will have to demonstrate, or promise to obtain, within a period not exceeding one year, a correct knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia.
  • Intermediate knowledge of office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Knowledge about neurodegenerative diseases, biomedicine, or neurosciences
  • General knowledge of descriptive and/or inferential statistical analyses Skills will be valued
  • Previous experience with neuroimaging data (preprocessing and/or analyses)
  • Competence in using a Linux environment
  • Programming skills (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB, bash)

Functions

  • Support for preprocessing and quality control of neuroimaging data from the Sant Pau Memory Unit and the CITA Go-On trial
  • Day-to-day support in the administration of the computing cluster
  • Support for statistical analyses of neuroimaging and clinical data
