Call for a T1B- Senior Laboratory Technician the Dermatology group. Deadline: March 4th, 2026, 3:00 pm
About the Unit / Group
Research within the Dermatology Group focuses not only on the development of new, more effective and safer drugs and therapies, but also on identifying new causal factors to improve prevention strategies.
The Dermatology Clinical Trials Group focuses on translational research (in collaboration with the Translational Medicine Research Group for Inflammatory Diseases) on inflammation-mediated dermatoses, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria, vitiligo, and alopecia areata. The group also studies the epidemiology, genetics, AI-assisted imaging, and treatment of various types of skin cancer and their precursors (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, actinic keratosis), as well as epidemiological research on cutaneous lymphoma.
Essential requirements
- Minimum qualification required Higher Level Professional Studies (Higher Level Training Cycle / FPII) or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of accredited professional experience
- Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia or, failing that, the successful candidate will have to demonstrate, or promise to obtain, within a period not exceeding one year, a correct knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia.
- Intermediate knowledge of office tools (excel, word, power point, etc). Skills will be valued
- Experience in clinical trials.
- Experience with databases.
- Experience in processing biological samples.
- Valid certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), IATA, and C-SSRS.
- Training in diagnostic imaging.
- Upper-intermediate level of English.
Functions
- Communicate study procedures to trial participants.
- Data entry in the Case Report Form (CRF).
- Participate in initiation, monitoring, and audit/inspection visits.
- Maintain clinical trial documentation files.
- Collection, processing, and handling (storage and transport) of samples.
- Take photographs to document disease progression and treatment efficacy.
- Manage potential incidents arising during trial development.
Offered
- Temporary contract due to production-related circumstances.
- Annual working schedule of 1,627.5 hours (37.5 hours/week).
- Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
