Area Information

This area carries out a wide range of translational cancer research, especially in sarcomas, head and neck tumors, breast, ovary, endometrium, colon and rectum, and hematological cancers, among others. The research covers a broad spectrum of fields, ranging from genetic research in cancer susceptibility syndromes to advanced therapies, such as those based on targeted drug delivery with nanoparticles, preclinical development of new anticancer agents with disease-specific murine models, CAR-T cell immunotherapy, gene therapy, drug repurposing and predictive molecular markers. Next-generation sequencing techniques are also developed and applied to identify new prognostic or response factors. In this area, our clinical investigators conduct a large number of clinical trials, including phase I, II and III trials with new anticancer drugs.
