Clinical Research Group – Medical Oncology Service
For over 10 years, the Clinical Research Group of the Medical Oncology Department has been dedicated to generating knowledge in clinical research, focusing on novel cancer treatment strategies. The group runs over 90 clinical trials across all tumor pathologies, promoted by both academic research groups (national and international cooperative groups) and pharmaceutical companies. They are currently developing phase I, II, and III studies, which have resulted in multiple publications across various oncology fields.

- CLINICAL:
- Development of new therapeutic strategies
- Studies to improve tumor staging
- Studies for detecting residual disease
- TRANSLATIONAL:
- Personalized cancer therapy
- Research on predictive and prognostic molecular biomarkers
Essential requirements
- Minimum qualification required: Higher Education (Bachelor's Degree, University Degree) in Health Sciences.
- Specific training in Clinical Trials (Master's degree in Clinical Trial Monitoring) or 2 years of accredited professional experience in a similar position.
- Training in Good Clinical Practice and Quality standards.
- Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia or, failing that, the successful candidate will have to demonstrate, or promise to obtain, within a period not exceeding one year, a correct knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia.
- Advanced level of English.
- Advanced knowledge of office tools (excel, word, power point, etc). Skills will be valued
- Experience coordinating clinical trials in hospital settings
- Previous experience in similar positions
- Training in clinical trial coordination and/or monitoring
- Experience in Medical Oncology
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices.
- Proficiency with Office package, databases, and email tools.
Functions
- Coordination of clinical trials
- Registration and participant inclusion procedures
- Scheduling and follow-up of patient visits and tests
- Data handling and CRF / eCRF completion
- Reporting and follow-up of adverse events (AEs, SAEs, AESIs)
- Support for pre-initiation, initiation, monitoring, and closing visits
- Preparation of required documentation for trial activation, closure, monitoring, and audits
- Maintenance of Investigator’s File
- Database management
- Support for research staff and monitors
- Web-based medication dispensing
- Support for translational research (biological samples handling)
- Participation in Study Coordinator and Investigator meetings
Offered
- Temporary contract due to production-related circumstances to cover tasks arising from a temporary and unforeseen increase in workload within the unit – maternity leave coverage.
- Annual working time of 1,424 hours (32.8 hours/week).
- Salary according to collective agreement: €30,260.81 gross per year.
- Research Group: Clinical Research Group in Oncology.
