Call for a AC3B- Senior Data Manager the General and Digestive Surgery Group. Deadline: April 22th, 2026, 15:00 h.

About the Unit / Group

The General and Digestive System Surgery Service is integrated by specialists dedicated to the surgical treatment of digestive, endocrine and abdominal wall diseases. It also offers urgent surgical assistance, within the Emergency Department, to patients in the assigned area.

Main lines of research

GASTROINTESTINAL SURGERY − Application of laparoscopic surgery in diseases of the spleen. − Application of laparoscopic surgery in disorders of the oesophagogastric junction. − Advanced application of colorectal laparoscopy. − New stratification and treatment options in colorectal cancer.
ONCOLOGICAL AND HEPATOBILIOPANCREATIC SURGERY − Surgery for pancreatic neoplasms − Treatment of pancreatic adenocarcinoma using local techniques − Surgery for liver metastasis in colorectal cancer. − Development of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in the global context of treatment for liver metastasis in colorectal carcinoma. − Surgery for primary hepatic tumours: determination of efficient prognostic parameters for surgical resection of hepatocarcinoma and likelihood of tumour recurrence after resection. − Introduction of the laparoscopic methodology to biliary lithiasis. − Surgery for sarcomas: participation in GIST research through the Spanish Sarcoma Research Group (GEIS) and other entities. − Surgery for sarcomas: participation in the development and results of surgery for retroperitoneal tumours.
EMERGENCY CARE − Collaborative project on clinical safety for the introduction of safe practices for polytraumatized patients. Challenges
GASTROINTESTINAL SURGERY − Design, develop and manage a dry laboratory for endoscopic surgery, creating a multifunctional research and teaching space to conduct applied technological research in minimally invasive surgery.
HEPATOBILIOPANCREATIC SURGERY − Development of techniques to study liver volume and function. − Development of experimental studies on the function and healing of bilio-intestinal sutures. − Studies of the value of nutrition in patients undergoing aggressive surgery for highly debilitating cancer. − Suitable stratification of GIST tumours in accordance with an anatomopathological classification. − Viability of surgical interventions considering the likelihood of disease recurrence.
EMERGENCY SURGERY − Consolidation of a multidisciplinary group for polytraumatized patient care.
BREAST SURGERY − Technological innovations in surgery. − Possible role of genetic studies in diagnosis and follow-up.
ENDOCRINAL AND CERVICAL SURGERY − Technical innovations in surgery.

Essential requirements

Minimum qualification required: Higher Education (Bachelor's Degree, University Degree) in Health Sciences
Knowledge of Regulatory standards and Clinical Trials under GCP, SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and SDV (Source Document Verification)
Minimum 2 years of accredited professional experience in clinical trials.
Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia.
Intermediate-High Level of English.
Advanced knowledge of office tools (excel, word, power point, etc).
Previous experience with eCRF and compliance with GCP.
Previous experience of extracting data from the Hospital IT platform or similar and entering it in the eCRF
The ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks. Skills will be valued
Previous experience or familiarity with projects related to liver, pancreas or bile duct pathology

Functions

Collection of clinical data from patients using the hospital's IT platform and entering them into the eCRF
Monitor and schedule, in collaboration with the IP and collaborators, the programming of complementary tests and visits of the patients recruited in the trial
Collaborate with the clinical investigators in order to have the eCRF updated in a short period after patient’s visits
Discuss with the PI and collaborators the possible deviations from the patient's clinical course and report the AEs and Queries if any.
Responding to queries arising from the eCRF
Guarantee that user acceptance testing, data transfer requirements and deployment of clinical trial in site are well defined.
Develop requirements of edit checks to guarantee high data quality and develop reports
Coordinate with external clinical research and database analysts in clinical trial databases’ design, development, testing and documentation.

Offered

Permanent contract linked to the project Sistema HistoSonics Edison™ para el tratamiento del adenocarcinoma pancreático mediante histotricia (GANNON)
Annual workday of 1.627,50 hours (37,5 hours/week)
Remuneration according to collective agreement
