Call for a AC3A- Junior Data Manager the Movement Disorders Unit. Deadline: April 7, 2026, 15:00 h.

About the Unit / Group

It is a functional unit of the Neurology Department dedicated to the care of rare diseases presenting with movement disorders. These diseases affect the nervous system and are complex, progressive or genetically determined, and require a multidisciplinary and highly specialized approach for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.

The diseases addressed in the unit include:

  • Huntington’s disease
  • Forms of atypical parkinsonism
  • Early-onset forms of Parkinson’s disease
  • Ataxias (including hereditary spastic paraplegias)
  • Segmental and generalized dystonias
  • Neurodevelopmental syndromes with tics such as Gilles de la Tourette syndrome
  • Functional or psychogenic disorders with abnormal movement manifestations Objectives of the unit:
  • Provide comprehensive diagnosis and personalized treatment following international standards
  • Perform a complete patient evaluation with a multidisciplinary team
  • Apply specialized diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
  • Facilitate access to new drugs, innovative treatments and clinical trials
  • Develop new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for these diseases

Essential requirements

  • Minimum qualification required: Higher Education (Bachelor's Degree, University Degree) in Health Sciences
  • Accredited professional experience in clinical trials
  • Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia or, failing that, the successful candidate will have to demonstrate, or promise to obtain, within a period not exceeding one year, a correct knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia.
  • Intermediate Level of English
  • Advanced knowledge of office tools (excel, word, power point, etc). Skills will be valued
  • Previous experience in clinical research or healthcare management
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Advanced level of English for technical platforms and documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with multiple tasks

Functions

  • Accurate entry of clinical trial data into Electronic Data Capture systems (EDC/CRF)
  • Schedule patient visits and coordinate logistics of procedures related to study protocols
  • Resolve data queries and discrepancies in collaboration with Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and study coordinators
  • Prepare nursing worksheets and source documentation required for patient visits
  • Manage laboratory report processing and administration of vendor portals
  • Maintain the Investigator Site File (ISF) and perform final archiving of closed clinical trials
  • Carry out strict control of study medication, including tracking, recording and verification of dispensing and return
  • Support medication dispensing procedures and perform physical kit counts
  • Manage study inventory, including ordering new kits and clinical supplies
  • Coordinate the return of equipment and specialized materials after trial completion

  • Permanent contract linked to the project:
  • “A Phase I, 2-part study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of single ascending doses of intrathecally administered RG6496 in a randomized, placebo-controlled, investigator/participant-blind study with an open-label extension in Huntington’s disease gene expansion carriers”
  • Annual working hours of 1,627.5 hours (37.5 hours/week)
  • Salary according to agreement
