Call for a A4 – Management Officer the Responsible Research and Innovation Unit (RRI). Deadline: February 5th, 2026, 3:00 pm

Essential requirements

  • Minimum required qualification: higher education degree (Bachelor’s / Diploma / University Degree) related to the area of the position.
  • Accredited experience of at least 4 years in the area or equivalent.
  • Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia. Level C in Catalan, or alternatively, the selected candidate must demonstrate or commit to acquiring, within no more than one year, an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia.
  • Accredited training or experience in innovation and knowledge transfer, preferably in the health field.
  • Knowledge of the innovation and transfer ecosystem in the public, private and third sectors.
  • Advanced oral and written English skills (negotiation level).
  • Advanced knowledge of office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Skills will be valued
  • Proven experience in the management and/or coordination of R&D&I projects or public-private collaboration projects, preferably collaborative, interdisciplinary or network-based.
  • Knowledge of competitive innovation and social-impact funding calls.
  • Institutional representation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to coordinate diverse actors: academic groups, healthcare institutions, social entities and industry.
  • Previous participation in research networks or multi-institutional consortia.
  • Knowledge of women’s health and the integration of sex and gender perspectives in research and innovation.
  • Training in research impact.
  • Strategic planning skills, goal monitoring, and evaluation of results and impact.
  • Experience in attracting competitive funding, including leadership or participation in funded proposals.
  • PhD in Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Social Sciences applied to health, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health or related fields.
  • Organised and methodical working habits.
  • Ability to generate key internal and external collaborations.
  • Ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary and multicentre teams.
  • Communication skills.

Functions

  • Coordinate the overall activity of the XWHIN Network and support its governance.
  • Support the Directorate and the Scientific Committee in strategic planning, monitoring the action plan and achieving the network’s objectives.
  • Ensure scientific and operational coherence of network activities with a women’s health perspective and a gender approach.
  • Identify opportunities for transfer, valorisation and social impact of research results.
  • Promote and energise innovation and knowledge-transfer projects in women’s health within the network.
  • Foster and facilitate collaboration among academic, healthcare, institutional, business and social stakeholders.
  • Prioritise lines of action in under-researched, under-diagnosed areas or those with limited therapeutic options.
  • Identify and promote innovative initiatives incorporating new perspectives, technologies or care models to improve women’s healthcare.
  • Define actions and indicators to monitor and ensure achievement of the network’s strategic objectives.
  • Position projects and results nationally and internationally, increasing their social, economic and policy impact.
  • Any other duties identified as necessary for the proper functioning of the network.

Offered

  • Permanent contract linked to the Women’s Health Innovation Network (XWHIN), file number XARDI 00009. With the support of the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia.
  • Annual working time of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
  • Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
  • Responsible Research and Innovation Unit (RRI).
