About the Unit / Group

The XWHIN Network (Women’s Health Innovation Network) is opening a call to recruit a communication manager linked to innovation and knowledge transfer initiatives in women’s health, promoting collaboration between research, the healthcare system, the productive sector and social stakeholders.

This position offers the opportunity to join a leading interdisciplinary and innovative network

in the field of women’s health, both in Catalonia and across Spain, with a clear international

outlook. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to define and implement the

network’s communication strategy and brand identity. The activity will be carried out in a

collaborative, dynamic and excellence-oriented environment that fosters networking and

the generation of synergies. The position will provide access to a broad network of research,

healthcare, institutional and industry stakeholders.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum required qualification: Higher Education degree (Bachelor’s / Diploma / University Degree) or equivalent, specific to the relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in a Junior Project Management Technician position or equivalent.
  • Oral and written proficiency in the two official languages of Catalonia. Level C of Catalan or, otherwise, the selected candidate must demonstrate, or commit to acquiring within a maximum period of one year, an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia.
  • Advanced oral and written English (negotiation level).
  • Advanced knowledge of office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Skills will be valued
  • • Training in Research Impact.
  • • Experience in managing R&D&I projects.
  • • Ability to support projects considering RRI criteria across all initiatives.
  • • Previous experience integrating the sex and gender perspective into research and innovation.
  • • Experience in applying for competitive funding, especially at international level.
  • • PhD in Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Social Sciences applied to Health, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or related fields.
  • • Organized and methodical working habits.
  • • Ability to work in a team and foster key internal and external collaborations.
  • • High level of initiative and autonomy.
  • • Communication skills.

Functions

  • Support the strategic planning of R&D&I proposals, systematically integrating the gender perspective, health equity, RRI principles, and social impact.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge, access, and health outcomes affecting women to guide project objectives and priority lines.
  • Collaborate in defining priority action lines in under-researched, underdiagnosed areas or those with limited therapeutic options.
  • Facilitate the integration of clinical, epidemiological, social, and public policy content into project proposals.
  • Advise research teams and network members to ensure systematic incorporation of scientific, ethical, and equity criteria, including sex- and gender- disaggregated data.
  • Collaborate in defining transfer, implementation, and impact strategies aimed at clinical practice, community settings, and public policy.

  • Identify, organize, and coordinate training activities on sex and gender perspective targeted at professionals and research teams.
  • Promote intersectoral collaboration and engagement of key stakeholders, including public institutions, academia, companies, patient associations, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate budget preparation, resource planning, and the definition of impact and evaluation indicators, ensuring alignment with call objectives and requirements.
  • Manage preparation and submission timelines, leading coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables within established deadlines.
  • Any other function identified as necessary for the proper functioning of the network.

Offered

  • Permanent part-time contract linked to the Women’s Health Innovation Network (XWHIN), file reference number 2025 XARDI 00009.
  • Part-time working hours 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
  • Salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
