Call for a A2A Junior Administrative Officer the CEIM. Deadline: May 27, 2026, 3:00 pm

About the Unit / Group

The Ethics Committee for Research with Medicines (CEIm) is an independent body which, in accordance with the legal provisions accrediting it, is responsible for ensuring the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of subjects involved in a trial, as well as providing public assurance of such protection, by reviewing and approving the protocol, the suitability of the investigator, the facilities, and the materials and methods to be used for obtaining and documenting the informed consent of the subjects.

Its specific functions are:

  • To evaluate the methodological, ethical, and legal aspects of: o Clinical trials with medicinal products and medical devices. o Observational studies. o Pharmacogenetic and pharmacodynamic studies. o Studies evaluating surgical procedures or psychological treatments. o Studies involving invasive procedures or the use of health data (medical records, biological samples).
  • To evaluate relevant amendments to projects approved by the CEIm.
  • To monitor clinical trials with medicinal products and clinical investigations involving medical devices.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum qualification required Higher Level Professional Studies (Higher Level Training Cycle / FPII) or equivalent
  • Accredited professional experience
  • Oral and written knowledge of the two official languages of Catalonia. Level C of Catalan or, failing that, the selected candidate will have to demonstrate, or promise to obtain, within a period not exceeding one year, a correct knowledge of the two official languages in Catalonia.
  • Intermediate knowledge of office tools (excel, word, power point, etc).
  • Previous experience in national competitive project departments. Skills will be valued
  • Accredited previous experience in administrative tasks related to clinical trial management, specifically developed within the secretariats of Ethics Committees for Research with Medicines (CEIm).
  • Practical experience using the Fundanet software application.
  • Intermediate level of English (equivalent to B2 level).
  • Additional specific training related to biomedical research or the functions of a CEIm.

Functions

Administrative support to the Technical Secretariat (TS) of the CEIm in the following

functions

  • Registration and validation of documentation related to clinical research projects submitted to the CEIm for evaluation.
  • Preparation and distribution of meeting notices, agendas, minutes, and documentation required for study evaluation to CEIm members.
  • Notification to investigators and/or sponsors regarding resolutions issued by the CEIm.
  • Management of archives and databases containing study documentation.
  • Processing of institutional approval procedures.
  • Preparation of reports requested by the TS.

Offered

  • Temporary replacement contract.
  • Annual working schedule of 1,627.50 hours (37.5 hours/week).
  • Salary according to collective agreement.
