    Grants and aids awarded by the Institute

    In this section you can consult the active research grants and aids awarded by the Institute.

    The Institute currently does not award grants to third parties.

    However, the Private Foundation Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau collaborates with intramural research at the Sant Pau campus through the following programs:

    1. Scholarship program: attracting and retaining research talent

    The Private Foundation, in collaboration with the Healthcare Management Foundation and the Research Institute of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, runs the scholarship program for research and continuing education, aimed at physicians and nursing staff of the Hospital. The objective is to enhance the personal and professional growth of researchers and to establish solid foundations for future research. Annually, the Foundation awards the following aids for research and training:

    • 2 training stays for physicians of the Healthcare Management Foundation.
    • 5 basic research projects for researchers of the Research Institute.
    • 1 intensification for principal investigators of awarded European projects.

    The 2015 budget for the scholarship program was €200,000.

    2. Support for emerging and consolidated research groups

    In 2015, the Private Foundation Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau approved an allocation of €500,000 for the development of scientific activity of emerging and consolidated research groups of the Research Institute of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau.
