Dr. Laura Llansó is the first winner of the “Professora Isabel Illa in Neuromuscular Diseases” grant, awarded by the Research Institute of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau – IIB Sant Pau, with funding from Grífols. With this scholarship, Dr. Llansó will develop her work in the Group of Neuromuscular Diseases, which is directed by Dr. Montse Olivé
A year ago today, Professor Isabel Illa, exemplary researcher, founder of the Neuromuscular Diseases Unit at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and mentor to dozens of neurologists dedicated to neuromuscular diseases, left us.
Laura Llansó Caldentey (Barcelona, 1993) graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 at the University of Barcelona. He completed the MIR residency in the specialty of Neurology at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (2018-2022), where he has been working for a year as a neurologist specialist in the Functional Tests Section performing electromyography and specific consultation of neuromuscular pathology.
