Dr. Teresa Padró Capmany, Head of the Cardiovascular Disease Evolution Biomarkers Group, Institute of Biomedical Research Sant Pau (IIB-Sant Pau) will give a talk on cardiovascular disease as the main cause of mortality in women. Cardiovascular disease manifests clinically differently in men and women, with differences ranging from physiological factors and pathological processes to the clinical presentation and evolution of the disease. This presentation will review factors related to sex and gender that make them a biological variable in cardiovascular disease.
