The IR Sant Pau Celebrates with Mariona at the Tibidabo Amusement Park the Women and Girls in Science Festival

From the Sant Pau Research Institute, we would like to invite you to the Women and Girls in Science Festival on 9 February at the Panoramic Area of the Tibidabo Amusement Park. A free-entry event for the whole family where boys and girls will discover the world of research and medicine through workshops, activities, and talks. For more information, please visit the Festival’s website.

The event will offer a wide variety of activities designed to spark interest in science and health while encouraging learning in a fun environment. Among the highlights are interactive workshops where participants can conduct scientific experiments under the guidance of researchers from IR Sant Pau. Additionally, 3D models will be displayed, allowing attendees to explore the human body in a visual and hands-on way. And we’ll do all of this with Mariona, an 8-year-old girl that some of you already know, along with her friends who are eager to share their excitement, enthusiasm, and determination to pursue a future in science!

The event will also feature games and sports activities aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle habits, such as the importance of physical exercise and a balanced diet. For young people, talks have been scheduled to address essential topics like mental health and sexual health, with the aim of equipping them with tools for holistic well-being. In addition, professionals from Sant Pau will share insights into their daily work through presentations specially designed for those interested in learning more about a scientific career, offering advice and resources for anyone considering embarking on this path.

Younger children will also enjoy a special surprise: those who complete Mariona’s first three missions at the Tibidabo Amusement Park and keep the corresponding wristbands can exchange them for an exclusive gift. Please note that the wristbands must be worn to claim the reward.
