Dr. Noèlia Vilalta, from the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Group of the Research Institute of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau – IIB Sant Pau and deputy of the Haemostasis and Thrombosis Unit of the Hematology Service of the same hospital, received the prize for the best oral communication of the European Congress of Hemophilia and Related Diseases #EAHAD2023 held in Manchester (United Kingdom).
The work, carried out jointly with the Haemophilia Unit of the La Paz University Hospital in Madrid and the Haemostasis Unit of the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida, focuses on the successful use of a drug anti-angiogenic (pazopanib) in recurrent digestive bleeding secondary to angiodysplasias in patients with severe coagulopathy, a clinical situation that has been very difficult to manage until now.
