On Wednesday, April 26 at 7 p.m., Dr. Helena Bascuñana, PhD, Director of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service, will give a talk at the Guinardó Civic Center on how physical activity extends life expectancy.
The talk will discuss recent studies showing that leisure-time physical activity is associated with a longer life expectancy of up to 4.5 years, even at relatively low levels of activity, and also has a positive effect on body weight.
